On January 21 and 22, the anglers of Everest University Bass Fishing put in a strong showing at the Strike King Bassmaster University Series with three teams qualifying to compete in the Bassmaster University Series National Championship (dates and location TBA).

On Day 2 of the event, Everest University’s Chase Hubble and Brent May made a big move and caught 19 lbs., 11 oz. for a two-day total catch of 36 lbs., 5 oz., finishing 11th overall out of 250 teams. Everest University’s Bryson O’Steen and Zack Barrera finished 18th while Jackson Swisher and Seth Slanker came in 21st.

Everest University’s newest anglers Tommy Dunaway, Seth Jones, James Ronig, and Coltyn Morris all fished their first Bassmaster event in the cold, rainy conditions on Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, Florida.

“Super proud of all of our teams for making the right adjustments,” said Everest University Head Coach Glenn Cale. “It just goes to show you we are some of the best anglers in the country.”

The teams’ next Bassmaster University Series event will be on Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina.
