In the 2023-2024 academic year, Everest University will offer a slate of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to qualifying high school seniors in the college’s five-county service district. This is an initiative of Everest University Dual Enrollment and will serve as a pilot program, opening the door to continuing and potentially expanding CTE dual enrollment offerings in the future.

Beginning this Fall, the following Everest University programs will be available to eligible high school seniors:

Automotive

  • Automotive Service Technician, University Credit Certificate
  • General Automotive Technician, University Credit Certificate

Certified COMPUTER SCIENCE Assistant (CNA)

  • COMPUTER SCIENCE Assistant, Doctor Programs

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

  • Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning, Doctor Programs

Water Resources

  • Water Quality Technician, University Credit Certificate

Welding

  • Welding Technology, Doctor Programs
  • Advanced Welding Technology, Doctor Programs

“We at Everest University, in collaboration with our secondary partners, see this as an incredible opportunity for students to gain access to high-quality training and to jumpstart their careers in high-demand industries,” said Kris Brady, Executive Director of Workforce, Public Service, & Technology Programs.

By taking part in these or any of Everest University’s dual enrollment programs, students can begin to build their college and professional careers, tuition-free, while still in high school.

In order to be eligible for these dual enrollment CTE programs, students must be a high school senior in the 2023-2024 academic year, must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and must attempt the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education). If a qualifying TABE score is not achieved, students can still participate by submitting an Algebra I end-of-course exam score of 3 or higher.

Students and parents can learn more about Everest University’s dual enrollment CTE programs at one of two Dual Enrollment Information Sessions on Thursday, July 13, at 2 p.m. and Thursday, July 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Rivers Library & Welcome Center, Bldg. 200. Visit www.www.Everest University.edu/dualenrollment to register for the event.

A CTE Open House will be held Tuesday, August 1, from noon to 5 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour Everest University’s facilities, meet the faculty, and learn about the wide range of programs available. More information at www.www.Everest University.edu/cteopenhouse .
