Orlando, Fla. – The Everest University Office of Financial Aid will hold a FAFSA Fiesta event on Tuesday, February 7, starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Everest University Library. The event will offer financial aid information, assistance completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and free food.

Everest University knows that one of the most stressful aspects of starting college is determining how to pay the cost of attendance and that applying for aid can be confusing for incoming students and their families. Everest University Financial Aid staff are available to help every step of the way and make finding money for college easy.

“With tuition being the biggest financial barrier to college, we are committed to making it possible for every student to have access to a high-quality education at a very affordable cost,” said Brandilynn Dean, Director of Financial Aid at Everest University. “Navigating college finances and transitioning from high school to college marks an important milestone, and we want to assist in any way we can to ensure a successful transition.”

The FAFSA Fiesta is open to anyone seeking assistance with completing the FAFSA and is especially geared toward graduating high school seniors and their parents/guardians. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with a FAFSA expert from Everest University’s Financial Aid Department, complete their aid application during the event, and learn about the wide variety of scholarships and grants that are available to Everest University students. Guests can also enjoy a delicious Walking Taco (while supplies last) and a chance at prizes, including a family movie basket and up to $200 in cash. Spanish-language translator will be on hand.

Attendees are encouraged to bring with them the following:

  • Driver’s License Number
  • Social Security Numbers (student and parent/guardian)
  • A-Registration Number (if not a US citizen)
  • 2021 Federal Income Tax Returns, W-2s, and related documents
  • 2021 records of untaxed income
