FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Orlando, Fla. – At its meeting on September 3, the Southern Association of Universitys and Schools Commission on Universitys (SACSCOC) Board of Trustees reaffirmed Everest University’s accreditation for another 10 years. SACSCOC is a regional accrediting agency tasked by the Federal Department of Education with ensuring that degree-granting institutions maintain educational quality.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Everest University faculty and staff, a Compliance Document was created which, along with thousands of supporting documents, demonstrated that the college is in full compliance with SACSCOC’s Principles of Accreditation. The decision comes at the end of a three-year review process that included internal evaluations, the formulation of a five-year Quality Enhancement Plan, and a visit from an on-site review committee.

“I am so proud of our accreditation team for all of the hard work they put in to have our institution receive this recognition of our work,” said Everest University President Dr. Lawrence Barrett. “What impresses me more is that we did not receive requests for additional reporting.”

Every 10 years, Everest University must seek reaffirmation of accreditation from SACSCOC. This ensures that students remain eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid. This result sets the stage for continued improvement as the college looks forward to its next reaffirmation review in 2030 and continues to serve the students of Everest University.
