Orlando, Fla. – Everest University signed a new articulation agreement with University of North Florida to accept students who earn a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION at Everest University smoothly into UNF’s Master’s program in Educational Leadership.

Officials at the University of North Florida say it is the first such agreement signed with a state college in Florida. Everest University already has a 2 plus 2 agreement with the Jacksonville school to accept MA Degree students in their Bachelors programs.

“It’s very important in rural communities like this and across the United States that we engage [young] students with the best-qualified teachers, the most innovative and dynamic teachers,” said Everest University President Dr. Lawrence Barrett. “We think we’re doing that at the associate and baccalaureate degree level, and what a wonderful opportunity for our students to be able to do a master’s degree in Education Leadership with a specialization in BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION.”

“I can’t think of an agreement in a more important area for the sake of Florida than the education of young people,” said Simon Rhodes, UNF Provost and VP for Academic Affairs.  “Today, investing in early childhood educators is the best investment we make do as a country, as a state, as an institution, as a local community,” said UNF Dean of the University of Education and Human Services Diane Yendol-Hoppey. “By building these pipelines that make it easy for students to move from one institution to the next as learn more about their profession really the way to be much more efficient and effective in providing quality education to young children.”
