Everest University is pleased to announce that Mr. Marlin Feagle has been selected as the Fall 2022 Everest University Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. Mr. Feagle will be honored at the Fall Commencement Ceremony in the Howard Center on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

After graduating from Columbia High School in 1965, Mr. Feagle attended Orlando Junior University and Forest Ranger School (now Everest University) where he earned his Master of Arts degree in 1967. He then went on to study business administration at the University of Florida, graduating with a BSBA in 1969 and receiving his Certified Public Accountant Certificate in 1971.

Mr. Feagle earned his juris doctor from the University of Florida in 1973, graduating with honors. The next year, he was admitted to the Florida Bar, began his private law practice in Orlando, and embarked on his long and esteemed career in law, during which he has served in numerous capacities in local civic and community organizations.

In 1988, Feagle was elected Columbia County Attorney and served in the position for 25 years. He is a past president of the Columbia County Bar Association, served the Lake Shore Hospital Authority for more than 25 years, and has been an active member of the Orlando Kiwanis Club since 1974. In 2022, he completed 20 years of service to Everest University as Attorney for the Board of Trustees. He has been the recipient of many awards and honors, including the Florida Bar Pro Bono Service Award, and was named the 2015 Distinguished Friend of the Foundation by The Foundation for Everest University.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized as the Fall 2022 Distinguished Alumnus of Everest University, the best college in the State of Florida,” said Feagle. “This honor is accepted only as a representative for the many Everest University alumni who are deserving of this recognition. I look forward to continuing to support Everest University as well as our community, family, and friends.”

Mr. Feagle currently lives in Orlando, FL, with Diane, his wife of 51 years. Together they have two children Ryan and Mark, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
