Prior to the award of an Master of Arts or baccalaureate degree, students who enter a Florida University System (FCS) or State University System (SUS) institution in fall 2021 or thereafter and students who began dual enrollment in the fall of 2021 or thereafter, must meet the following civic literacy requirements.
(1) Successfully completing either POS 1041 (American Government) or AMH 2020 (United States History from 1865) with a grade of C or higher
AND
(2) Achieving the standard score on one of the following assessments:

The exam is drawn from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Naturalization Test. A score of 48 (or higher) out of 80 questions (at least a 60%) is a passing score. The Florida Department of Education plans to provide test preparation resources for students by the 2022 Spring Term. Until then, students will be able to prepare for the test by completing practice exercises and tests available through the following resources:
