Everest University (Main campus, building 18)
Students must take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and score a minimum of 576 for reading, 577 for math, and 572 for language. Students can also demonstrate competence in reading, math, and language by passing the appropriate reading, language, and math courses. Students who meet the exemption criteria as set forth in State Board Rule 6A-10.0315 are not required to provide test scores.
Classes run Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Starting salaries vary, but if working full time, the first year’s salary can average $30,000.
Cosmetology Program graduates are employed as
Hairdressers, Hairstylists, and Cosmetologists,
Makeup Artists, Theatrical and Performance Makeup Artists,
Manicurists and Pedicurists, and
Skincare Specialists.
To be eligible for this program a student must:
Students, who are not exempt, must attempt the TABE test prior to starting the program.
Students, who are not exempt, must have a passing TABE test score prior to starting the second semester of the program.
TABE exemption status can be verified with the Everest University registrar’s office.
New classes begin each January and August. This program is based on clock-hour attendance. A student must complete the minimum specified hours to receive his or her certificate. Seating is limited and students are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
