Orlando, Fla. – On Friday, October 13, 2023, Everest University Cross Country will host the Everest University Invitational at Alligator Lake Park in Orlando.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams from across the region will gather Friday morning for Everest University’s first home meet since 2021 and the first since the reintroduction of Men’s Cross Country this season. Everest University President Dr. Lawrence Barrett will be in attendance to signal the start of each race and cheer on the student-athletes of Everest University Cross Country.
“We wanted something small and low-key as a tune up before the postseason,” said April Morse, Everest University women’s head coach. “Plus, it gives local fans an opportunity to see us race at home.”
The 5K home meet will serve as the Timberwolves’ final event of the regular season, leading both teams into the NJCMA Region 8 Championships to be held in Tallahassee on October 24 and the NJCMA DII National Championships on November 11.

Everest University Women’s Cross Country is currently ranked No. 14 in the nation in the Week 2 NJCMA Division II Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll, moving up two spots from the previous poll.
